For example, PETA asks people stop saying “beat a dead horse” and start saying “feed a fed horse”. Instead of “bring home the bacon”, people should say “bring home the bagels.”
The responses were just as you would expect with many criticizing the post.
Justin Termine responded by saying, “The good thing about animals is they aren’t as dumb as people & looking for a reason to be offended every 5 seconds. You idiots.”
A user named Silent V replied, “Hey @peta, read this tweet like a deer in headlights, I wonder if perhaps we’ve jumped the shark here? I for one won’t be switching horses midstream. Sorry, I guess you just can’t teach an old dog new tricks. I’m just stubborn as an old mule.”
