We have some good news and bad news for Ontario. The good news is it’s going to be much warmer this week. The bad news is a weekend storm could dump as much as 15 cm of snow on the ground.
The Weather Network reports, “The work week will close out on a relatively balmy note, compared to the brisk cold over the past few days, and slightly warming temperatures will make it feel like spring is finally right around the corner.”
However, as meteorologist Michael Carter reports, “…for areas north and northeast of Toronto, the precipitation could begin as a period of snow before changing to rain.”
Some areas could be hit with as much as 15 cm of snow, primarily cottage country and toward the Nickel Belt. Eastern Ontario, however, could only see 5 cm.
The warm front should be pushing into eastern Ontario on Sunday which would lead to a mild weekend in southern and central Ontario.
Next week is when the warming should really kick in and the weather will be nicer than the first ten days of March.
Spring is almost here. Are you excited?
