Police in Calgary have successfully charged a man who is connected with an alleged event that took place at a playground at a Parkside Drive S.E.-area and involved children per Global News.
At approximately 3 pm on the 28 of October, four children were approached by a man pleading them to help him find a lost piece of jewelry. He promised to give them candy in return for their help. The children were all between the ages of 9 and 11.
Deciding to decline the man’s offer, the children were met with retaliation in the form of “inappropriate comments” followed by the man “taking inappropriate photos” of the female children.
Police said the children declined the offer and the man allegedly made “inappropriate comments” and took “inappropriate photos” of the female children.
Despite searching the area, police were unable to find anyone matching the description provided at the time according to the police.
Together, the police behavioural science unit and investigators were able to identify a suspect.
On Nov. 4, a man was arrested. John Daniel Larlee, 48, has been charged with one count of voyeurism. He was released and will next appear in court on Dec. 18.
