BC Place will be selling one of the
most over the top food items in Canada when fans show up to watch the
Vancouver Whitecaps play.
The appropriately named “Outrageous Burger” at Lionsgate Grill is made from three beef patties, hot dog, three chicken strips, six strips of bacon, three cheddar cheese slices, fries and sauce.
The arena’s general manager Patricia Jelinski told CTV News that “Fans can look forward to enjoying some of the most creative and delicious menu items when they come to BC Place.”
Paul McArdle, manager for BC Place’s catering service Centerplate said they wanted to “honour traditional stadium food and highlight B.C.’s rich culinary history and diversity” while combining internationally-inspired flavours.
“You have to have all these options, and more and more with dietary restrictions as well,” McArdle said.
Other options include a gluten-free burrito bowl, and rainbow-coloured grilled cheese sandwiches.
