The prices for tobacco products in Canada is going up on April 1, so if you like to buy in bulk, you should get to it.
The prices for cigarettes, tobacco sticks, cigars and other products will all rise.
As MTL Blog reports, a pack of 5 cigarettes will see a price increase of
$ 0.60946. That works out to about 10 cents per cigarette or about $3 on a pack of 25. The Canada website lays out the increases for you to read.
Of note, cigars will be seeing an increase of $26.52940 per 1000.
That’s not all though. The rates of special duty on imported manufactured tobacco delivered to a duty-free shop, traveller’s tobacco and unstamped tobacco products are all going up.
