A video released by Durham Regional Police show a red compact car ramming through the lobby of a community centre and narrowly missing a pedestrian.
The incident took place at the Courtice Community Centre around 8:40 a.m last Friday.
Luckily, no one was hurt even as the
car ended up in the children’s pool. There was, however, substantial
damage done to the facility.
The woman driving was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and her name has not been released. She has been charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance, mischief/damage to property endangering life, and mischief/damage to property over $5,000.
