Toronto police revealed that they are searching for Mauricio Alvarez, their main suspect in the College Park sexual assault case.
A police report revealed that a woman was passing through College Park near Yonge and College streets in the middle of the night on August 8 when the incident happened.
The authorities also revealed that a man followed her before the sexual assault, meaning it was premeditated.
Alvarez has been identified as the assailant, and the police are currently looking for him.
Police release a description of the culprit
The police description of Mauricio reveals that he is a five foot six 21-year-old man with black hair and brown eyes.
He weighs around 170 pounds and has a roman numerals tattoo on his left arm.
The authorities also claim that the suspect does not have a fixed address which means it might be a bit harder to find him.
However, they have a chance of finding him if he visits a public place.
Mauricio’s photos are already circulating media outlets, and this should help sensitize the public about the suspect.
The picture might lead to a faster arrest and police have already requested anyone who knows about Alvarez’s whereabouts to come forward.
The police obtained the suspect’s photos from surveillance footage in which he is seen wearing a grey t-shirt and grey sweatpants.
The police did not reveal the victim’s identity, and it is also not clear whether the surveillance cameras recorded Mauricio in the act.
